Theme: “ Healthy way of life.”
Objectives: The students will be able  to discuss the theme of the lesson.

 I. Introduction. T.; Today we’ll speak about the healthy way of life and we’ll discuss the question : What does our health depend on ?
II. First let’s repeat the poem. Pay attention to the sound    
       Early to bed,
       Early to rise,
       Makes the man
       Healthy, wealthy and wise.

III. T.: Healthy way of life have some  key parts. Can you name them?

     S-s: Daily regime, healthy meal, being not addicted to bad habits, keeping fit, good mood.

IV. Pre-reading activity. Before you read, look at the questions and choose the answers you think are correct. Then read the text to check the answers.

1.What  nationality are the people on the photo?

a. Chinese  b. Japanese  c. Russian

2. How many meals do you need every day?

a. one  b. three  c. five

3. Is it a good idea to eat snacks?

a. yes  b. no  c. it doesn’t matter

4. How often do you need to exercise?

a. every day  b. once a week  c. three times a week

V. Now read the text again and answer the questions.

1. What kind of food do Sumo wrestlers usually eat? Why?

2.  Why do you think Sumo wrestlers go to bed straight after dinner?

3 Why are many teenagers in the UK and USA are overweight?

4. Do you agree with all the advice in the text? If not why.?

VI. Look at the blackboard. You can see the list of people’s feelings. Reed it and say what feelings are good and what are bad, then match the feelings with the pictures.

       Bored, excited, happy, nervous, relaxed, scared, tired, unhappy, sad, worried, sick.

VII. Now I’ll say you a definition and you ‘ll guess the feeling.

VIII. T.:  Now look at the pictures and say when do we have positive feelings?

         S-s.:When we walk in the open air

                When we play games

                 When we listen to music

                   When we swim….

 

IX. T.: At the beginning of our lesson you have said that healthy way of  life includes some key parts. Now I want  you to make 4 groups, to choose a key-part you’d like to speak about and prove that your part is very important for people’s health..

       S-s.: One of the main factors contributing to a healthy lifestyle is the ways we start our day.
Here I have three ways to share with you, let’s move on to our first way that is put some music when you woke up in the morning. It can bring calmness to your self not only that it also can help your brain focus more to the job that your are doing. Research has shown that hearing to music can help being more concentration and give more alert thinking. By listening to music in the morning can helps to reduce ones heart attack rate and keeping our blood pressure under control. When your mind is full of many task that need to do listen to music for a moment in the morning can help bring your mind to a positive state, by this you can easily finish your job with ease throughout the day.  
Having a good and balance breakfast is also one of the ways. Breakfast is known as the most important meal of the day, so it is a compulsory for us to have a good and balance breakfast. With a Balance breakfast it can give balance your blood sugar that you need to handle physical and mental stress throughout the day. Research had shown that with a good and balance breakfast it can give us better concentration, can memorized better and our problem solving skills will increase.
